Ultralight Mountaineering Sleeping Bag Cover Water Pressure Fabric is designed for harsh outdoor environments. Its material is usually based on high-density nylon or polyester fiber, and is treated with a special process to ensure ultra-lightweight while giving the fabric excellent waterproof performance.
The waterproof level of the fabric is measured by hydrostatic pressure testing, and common indicators can reach thousands of millimeters of water column (mmH₂O). This means that under standard test conditions, the fabric can withstand a considerable high water column pressure without leakage, effectively resisting rain and dew. For example, a waterproof level of 5000mmH₂O can ensure that the sleeping bag cover will not get wet for a long time in medium to heavy rain environments, providing a reliable waterproof barrier for the sleeping bag and the user.
In terms of waterproof principle, on the one hand, the tight woven structure of the fabric greatly reduces the gaps and prevents water droplets from penetrating directly; on the other hand, the water-repellent coating on the surface prevents water droplets from attaching, forming a lotus leaf effect and rolling down. And this water-repellent coating is specially designed to have good durability, and the waterproof performance remains stable after repeated use, friction or washing.
At the same time, the fabric not only ensures waterproofness, but also takes into account a certain degree of breathability. Through the special microporous structure or hydrophilic group design, water vapor molecules can be discharged from the inside, avoiding the accumulation of water vapor in the sleeping bag and keeping the inside dry and comfortable. On cold mountain nights, the water vapor exhaled by the human body can be discharged in time to prevent condensation into water droplets in the sleeping bag and reduce the warmth retention performance.
In addition, it also has excellent wear resistance and tear resistance, and can withstand scratches from sharp objects such as rocks and branches during mountaineering, ensuring durability in complex environments, and providing reliable protection for ultra-light mountaineering sleeping bag covers.
