Ventilated breathable rain cape Filament Polyester Fabric

This Ventilated breathable rain cape Filament Polyester Fabric is woven with continuous polyester filaments with a diameter of 0.01-0.03mm. Different from short-fiber fabrics, the filament structure reduces the gaps between fibers and improves the basic waterproof performance from the source. ​

The surface of the fabric adopts a 0.5mm micro-convex texture design, with 80-100 tiny convex points distributed per square centimeter. When rain falls, the convex points can support the water film, so that the water and the main body of the fabric maintain a gap of 0.3mm, and with the hydrophobicity of the fabric itself, the water droplets can slide off quickly. ​

In terms of breathability, its special plain weave structure retains 3000-4000 micron-level breathable pores per square inch, and the pore size is controlled at 5-8μm, which is smaller than the minimum diameter of raindrops (about 100μm). It can not only prevent rainwater from penetrating, but also allow the water vapor emitted by the human body to be discharged smoothly. The measured data shows that at 30℃, the air permeability of the fabric can reach 5000g/(㎡・24h), effectively reducing the stuffiness inside the raincoat. ​

The fabric has been treated with UV protection, and the UPF value is 50+, which is suitable for long-term outdoor use. In addition, the filament structure gives the fabric good tear resistance, and the warp and weft tear strengths are both over 30N, making it more durable than ordinary raincoat fabrics.
