This high-strength antistatic fabric for parachutes is made of 600D high-strength polyester filament as the base material and is woven in plain weave. The breaking strength of the single filament reaches 8.5cN/dtex. It can withstand the radial tension of 3000N when the parachute is unfolded, meeting the needs of airdrop equipment and personnel parachutes with a load of less than 500kg.
The surface of the fabric is treated with fluorocarbon resin coating. While maintaining 18% air permeability, it achieves antistatic performance with a surface resistance of 10⁷-10⁹Ω, which can effectively release the static charge generated by the friction between the parachute and the air, and prevent sparks from igniting auxiliary equipment in the parachute bag. The coating thickness is controlled at 0.02mm, making the weight of the fabric per square meter only 280g, taking into account durability and lightness.
The edges are treated with thermal cutting and edge sealing technology to prevent the woven fibers from falling apart. After 500 folding tests, there is no obvious pilling phenomenon. The fabric has a UV aging resistance level of UV4 and a strength retention rate of over 80% after 6 months of outdoor exposure, making it suitable for use in extreme environments such as plateaus and deserts.
